I was so excited when Rita contacted me for maternity and newborn photos! I had known her previously from working in our county library system together, but at different locations. We're both librarians! Since that time, a few years ago, we've both moved on. I've become a high school media specialist and Rita has been taking care of that little one in the photos, Donovan. She'll soon have a little girl whom I can't wait to meet!!!
Little Donny was way too cute! He was so flirty and all he wanted to do was run to the ocean. He is so fearless! I just couldn't help but laugh and smile along with Rita and Gavin the entire time they played with Donny at the beach.
I have more photos of this lovely family and their extended family on the way! I was invited to photograph Gavin's grandmother's 90th birthday the next day!
Everyone remarked how Gavin never smiles in photos... but I had the opposite effect! No matter where I was, he would always look up and give me a smile, even when I was trying to get a natural shot! :) He did this at the party too, so we had a good laugh about it.
