Bambi is my little best friend! She's always ready to play or cuddle. We adopted her about 3 years ago, in July 2006. She had some issues at first, but through lots of love and training, she's become the best dog anyone could ask for. She is a joy to take to the park and play or snuggle up and watch a movie. Did I mention, she loves the sun? She's definitely a Chihuahua!

Here are a few images from our fun in the park this week, although Bambi hates it when I bring out my camera... she always runs or looks away!

Strawberries Galore! / food & macro photographer

We love to visit the local U-Pick farm in the summer. They always have the freshest fruits and vegetables! This week we picked over 7 lbs of strawberries! It was pretty hot out in the field, but it was worth it. I'm looking forward to making all kinds of salads, desserts and jams with my strawberries. Oh, and I'll be eating them raw as well!

This is a strawberry salad I made today. Usually, I'll use spinach, slivered almonds, apples and strawberries with a tasty blush vinaigrette. Today I only had on hand romaine lettuce, strawberries, flax seed and the vinaigrette. Nonetheless, it tasted as good as it looks! Very filling too!

Off to see the Cake Boss / food photographer

My husband, Chris, and I took a trip this week to see the Cake Boss, from TLC's new show, at Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, NJ. It was a long and rainy drive up there, but it was worth it! The clouds parted for a few hours, the sun came out and we spent the day walking around town enjoying the yummy pastries.

We didn't see the Cake Boss, but we did see his two sisters from the show. It was cool to see where all the action is taped. Chris wants a Stewie Griffin cake from Carlo's Bakery for his 30th birthday in a few years. I'm looking forward to ordering that!

We bought two chocolate cannoli, a cream puff, two cupcakes and a brownie! What a sugar high we had for a few hours!

Then we walked around town for a bit and decided to eat at Five Guys Burger and Fries. There is one close to our home, but we've never been there before. Let me just say... it was sooo good! I suggest you try it!

We pressed our luck for a bit, even though the dark stormy clouds rolled in. It ended up pouring heavily and we got caught out on the edge of the pier. It was a really stormy, cloudy and wet scene. Even the fishermen ran for cover and left their poles!

Rain, Rain, Go Away / photographer news

Summer is here, but what's with all this rain? I'm starting to forget what the sun looks like! I have been very busy the past few weeks! I'm still booking summer portrait sessions at the beach throughout NJ, but the days are booking fast. I've already met a bunch of awesome people and I can't wait to meet more!

This is going to be a fabulous summer! Now, if those rain clouds would like to disappear for the next two months, I'd be happy!

This rainbow was beautiful right outside our home. It does make some rainy days worth it!

Fifty Golden Years / new jersey event photographer

The Harper's invited me to be a part of their 50th Wedding Anniversary! It just so happens that their anniversary is also Flag Day, June 14th. Everything was red, white and blue. The Bell Choir, which Mrs. Harper is a part, gave a beautiful performance to celebrate the day. It was a pleasure to be there and capture their special moments.

After the party, we went outdoors to take family photos. The sun was shining and you could see the love this family has for each other. I just wanted to share a few photos from the day that have made me smile and I hope make them smile too!

The photos are now up! Everyone did such an excellent job and made the fashion show so much fun! It was fast paced and full of high summer fashion. Next time, I'm going to wear more comfortable shoes!

Here's a sneak peek of the before action from the local Summer of Love fashion show I shot on Saturday at Macy*s! The models were gorgeous and very photogenic. It was a pleasure to work with them and I hope to work with them more in the future. I wish them all the best in their future endeavors!

We spent the weekend celebrating and saying goodbye to baby Raine and her parents. They will be living living in Germany soon! Raine is such a precious baby and her parents are such a sweet couple! I wish them the best of luck on their new venture and we hope to visit them in the coming years. I can't wait to visit Germany!

And of course... my niece Ayla's always checking out the action and having a ball!
